About us
In 2021, Investar Financial launched the Investar Impact Foundation (ISIF) to apply its investing expertise and invest in funds and businesses looking to reduce poverty and inequality.
As a nonprofit, any financial returns are re-invested into more impact businesses.
What we do
We invest across different social sectors: education, workforce & economic development, access to basic services, among others.
All of our potential investments undergo a thorough social impact and financial review process. While our mandate is to work with the poor on a global scale, we are also committed to strengthening our local community in the areas where Investar operates (mainly North Texas).
Impact funds and co-investments
The funds we invest in work with low-income communities throughout their portfolio.
We also co-invest in companies aligned with our mission.
Community engagement
We support local players lifting people out of poverty through a combination of grants and investments. Additionally, a portion of our activity is reserved for disaster relief efforts.
We invite our community to join in on our efforts through matching campaigns, where donations received are matched by ISIF.
